Would You Consider Volunteering as an Options Mentor?

We need your help! We are in great need of Christians to provide life-saving mentoring to abortion- minded women. As a mentor, you will show love, compassion, and support to women facing unplanned pregnancies and advise them of their pregnancy options: abortion, adoption, and parenting.

Why Become a Volunteer Mentor?

Love Like Christ

As an options mentor, you will have the opportunity to truly love like Jesus Christ. Like Jesus, you will work with suffering, confused, and needy people. You will have the opportunity to show them Christ-like compassion, grace, and kindness and provide them with crucial guidance and support in their times of confusion, desperation, and fear.

Expand the Kingdom

As a mentor, you’ll have the opportunity to not only help save physical lives, but souls as well. Clients will often ask questions about spiritual matters and you’ll have the opportunity to share truths from the Bible and talk about your faith in Jesus. Whether you plant a seed or water, God can use you to make disciples and expand His Kingdom.

Joyful Giver

Jesus himself said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”  As a mentor, you will give a lot of yourselves to your clients, but you will receive even more in return. It may be difficult at times, but you’ll experience an unsurpassable joy and satisfaction that comes from seeing God use you to save and transform lives for His Kingdom.

Life Transformation

As an options mentor, just as you will help transform lives, your very own life will be transformed. As you witness the great needs of your clients, you will grow in compassion and love for the hurting, confused, and desperate. And as you are faced with your own limitations to help clients, you will grow in your faith and dependence upon God. Transformation isn’t easy, but it’s worth it, and it’s God’s call on your life.

God at Work

You might be reading this and think that you’d really like to help, but don’t think you can. You’re right. You can’t. But God can! The story of the Bible shows that God chose unlikely people to accomplish His work. God chose Moses, a stutterer, to lead His people out of slavery and Jesus chose fisherman to be apostles. So whatever your limitations are, know that God can work in and through you. He can also use bad experiences or decisions for good. God used Saul, a persecutor of the church, to become a great leader. So if you’ve had an abortion in the past, this does not disqualify you from this position. In fact, like Paul, God can use your past experiences as increased devoutness and effectiveness for the ministry.

Things To Know

We are very flexible with the number of days you volunteer and happy to work with your schedule; however, we prefer that you volunteer at least once a week for a half-day or full day because that consistency will make you more effective as a mentor. You can volunteer at any time of the year and we will train you on individual basis according to your abilities. We will have you shadow more experienced mentors so that you are well prepared for your first session.
